In the product photography sections of the Armstrong Studio website you will find many examples of table top and still life images. Since 1988, commercial product photography has been the primary service offered to a wide range of marketing clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. In 1995 Armstrong Studio was among the first of the commercial photography studios in Baltimore, MD to make the transition to digital photography. We were on what they called the “bleeding edge” of the digital revolution!

As you browse through this section of the portfolio you will see a wide range of images created as advertising photos. This work is the result of years of experience and working with many clients who find real value in working with a photographer who can address their one of a kind needs year after year. Table top photography services include shooting jewelry, textiles, giftware, home decor, hardware and fashion accessories for websites, brochures, catalogs, billboards, blogs, packaging and point of purchase displays. 

The majority of photo styling is done by Maryland photographer Christine Armstrong who brings her particular sense of place to all the work she touches with a clean and simple style that helps to focus attention on the product and calm the clutter. Her green-living lifestyle and eco-conscience studio influence images in ways that are at times very obvious, but sometimes just as subliminal. You will see hints of found objects, organic elements, seasonal flora, handcrafted papers and surfaces throughout the portfolio which lends a unique flavor to every image.

The section of the Armstrong Studio website which focuses on our business and corporate clients is where you will find many examples of collateral photography, professional head shots, corporate culture, group portraits and manufacturing. Much of the time this work is also provide on site, at your convenience.

Photography on Location

Images created on location to help capture or create a sense of place and tell a story. Sometimes it is a matter of the architecture which we need to help convey a larger sense of the lifestyle. Sometimes it's all about the architectural photography itself.

Through the years, Armstrong Studio has provided high quality images of tiles and counters used in kitchen and bath interiors, bricks on the facade of homes and businesses, glass panels used on the exteriors of business parks, carpeting used in casinos and in some cases the plants that manufacture and test these materials.

These images are often created at an event, in the client's facility, or at a specially selected place chosen to convey a specific look and feel. The use of natural light is key to the way these images look and gives them a unique appeal. It takes an experienced eye, careful planning, and the ability to react quickly to changing conditions to get the job done right.

Retouching Services

Photo retouching has become a major component of almost all commercial photographs in today's visual media paradigm. In this gallery you will find many examples of before and after images that demonstrate the scope of what we are currently doing for our clients.

In 1995 Armstrong Studio was among the first of the commercial photography studios in Baltimore, Maryland to make the transition to digital photography. Retouching our own work became key to delivering images we felt met the highest standards we could provide for our clients. We quickly learned the best ways to capture visual assets and put them to use in post production.

Our retouching services include FTP delivery and archiving, clipping path management, color manipulation, tasteful digital “facelifts” for our corporate head shots, textile taming, logo and text manipulation, product duplication and general color and density balancing.
